Music fans haven't been able to contain their excitement after a short video teasing a possible upcoming gig announcement was plastered on the side of Co-op Live arena on Wednesday (November 14).
The clip, showing a a person swinging from black fabric and the words 'so close, 11:14' was shared on the venue's social media channels. Followers were quick to suggest that it might mean a gig announcement or update from Canadian singer-songwriter Tate McRae.
McRae kicked off the North American leg of her Think Later Tour in July 2024, and played more than 20 dates across North America through August 2024. She last played Manchester in April 2024 at the 02 Apollo as part of the European leg of her current tour.
Responding to the post on Instagram, one fan wrote: "Sorry???? TATE?? I'm on the floor."
Others sharing the singers name simply said 'we r so back' and 'stop', with another suggesting they might 'pass out' if she announces an arena date.
Another, seeking to temper things slightly added: "Her new music video is out on that date so it could be that or hopefully a tour."
Over on X, formerly know as Twitter, others were more bold: "It has to be @tatemcrae".
Other simply demanded the venue 'tell us' and asked 'what is happening'.
