A new ‘winter wonderland' is opening this week in the former spot of a top Manchester restaurant that will feature giant candy canes, a Santa's grotto and a hatch serving bratwurst.
A Miracle on the Avenue will open in Spinningfields on Friday (November 15) in the former spot owned by Spanish tapas bar Iberica within Spinningfields Square. The restaurant, led by chef and Spanish Masterchef star Nacho Manzano, closed its doors four years ago as a result of a company voluntary arrangement (CVA).
The new Christmas set-up will serve up a selection of German market-inspired sides and dishes, including bratwurst, currywurst, crepes and waffles direct from a special ‘food hatch’.

The outlandish space, which has capacity for up to 400 people, will also feature a varied drinks menu - offering up the likes of Mulled Wine, Bailey’s Hot Chocolate and a selection of beers served in steins. Those with an extra bit of cash to spend can also, if they like, splash out on a bottle of Dom Pérignon for £300.
The venue has been completely re-designed by Visual Architects with a Winter Oasis theme in mind. Its far-from-subtle aesthetic features Christmas trees, illustrations of The Grinch, giant inflatable Christmas presents and baubles, and neon signs.

There will also be giant candy canes, a photo-worthy sleigh, and a ‘Santa’s Grotto’ to explore. Not only that but guests can enjoy a selection of immersive games alongside a large seating area to unwind and chill.

As part of a collaboration between LA’ LA’ Hospitality and Spinningfields, the Winter Wonderland will become an annual tradition - setting up base at different locations within the area each year.
