All tram services were stopped on part of a Metrolink line following an emergency incident. Bee Network bosses announced no service between Altrincham and Old Trafford following a medical emergency.

It follows an incident at the Brooklands tram stop, in Sale. Passengers were advised to travel on bus services rather than use the tram in the affected area.

A Bee Network spokesperson wrote on X: "Due to a medical emergency on the Altrincham line, there is no service between Old Trafford - Altrincham. Ticket acceptance is in place on the following local bus services: 18, 19, 245, 263, 281, 285, 286.

"We're sorry for any inconvenience." A further update on the Bee Network website says services have since resumed, but with delays 'until further notice'.
