Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to following an alleged theft.
Officers believe a man broke into the property on Ashton Lane, in the Sale area, through the front door after residents went out. When they returned, they found the door ajar and the man inside, GMP said.
Police said when the resident asked what he was doing, the man pushed him away leaving him with injuries to his hand. A number of items including a bank card, jewellery, a laptop and shaving kit were reported as stolen.

Officers today (November 13) released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident. They believe he could 'assist with enquiries'.
Police also want to speak to any witnesses, or anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dash cam footage from the time of the reported burglary - which was at around 11.30am on October 2. Detective Constable Jenna Hibbert, of Trafford’s Neighbourhood crime team, said: "It is unacceptable for anybody to feel unsafe in their own home, which is why tackling burglary remains one of GMP’s top priorities."
