TikTok sensations the Spud Bros will be heading to Greater Manchester as part of a whopping 30-hour 'spud-a-thon' taking place across the UK.
Jacob and Harvey Nelson, who have had more than 108 million likes on the social media platform, garnered a reputation online for their takeaway van in Preston. People have travelled from all over the world to try their famous potatoes, even gaining fans in American music sensations the Jonas Brothers.
On Friday (November 15), they will turn up at MediaCity with their Hot Potato Tram - which has been in the Lancashire city since 1955. They took over the tram a year ago from their dad, who is now known globally as 'Spud Dad.'

Following a boost in sales, the brothers recently upgraded the tram; making it bigger to keep up with growing demand and take their business on the road.
In support of Children In Need, they are hosting a 30 hour ‘Spudathon’ - which will see them sell their famous jacket potatoes to raise vital funds. Their appearance in Salford also happens to coincide with the charity TV show airing from the BBC Studios at MediaCity.

As part of their pop-up stop in Greater Manchester, people will also be able to try out a limited edition ‘Spudsy’ potato as part of the money raising event - which is made up of cheese, beans, crispy onions, nacho cheese sauce and spots of coloured mayo to resemble the ones on the mascot Pudsey Bear.
This potato, costing £10, will add to the funds raised during their 'spudathon', going directly to the Children In Need charity. Other 'spud sellers' across the UK will also be taking part in the event - including Smokey Mose, Spudlad, Tatie Lady, Jacket Potato Ladies and Tattie Tim.
On TikTok, Jacob said: “Spudathon, Friday. 10am start, Media City in Salford outside of the BBC studio. We only have 250 jacket potatoes, so it’s first come first served. I’ve heard people are going to be queueing up at 6am.”
“It is for a great cause, guys, and we just want to use social media in such a positive way. We just want to do our part as the Spud Brothers, we have a good following and just want to help the children that truly do need it so that’s the plan.
“All of the profits will be going to Children In Need from the spuds being sold, from the social media, from the donations, from the gifts, so guys come on let’s support and let’s get this Spudathon on the way and absolutely smash it.”
They'll also be continuing the festivities with a Spudathon evening at Preston Flag Market from 10pm on Friday until 4pm on Saturday.
