Huge bags filled with cannabis plants have been removed from properties across Greater Manchester in a series of raids. More than 200 plants were seized in 24 hours following raids across Tameside and Bolton.
The biggest haul was from a property in Hyde on Wednesday (November 6), where Tameside officers seized around 150 plants. Equipment used to grow the cannabis was also taken down.
An image shared by Greater Manchester Police showed at least five large evidence bags packed with plants following the raid. GMP said the raid followed a tip-off from the public.

Later the same day, Tameside officers seized more plants from a second cannabis farm, in Hattersley. Images show the plants being grown under specialist lamps before officers dismantled the operation.
A third raid followed in the early hours of Thursday morning in Over Hulton, Bolton. Officers seized 65 plants from the scene and arrested a male suspect.

A GMP Bolton spokesperson added: "The neighbourhood team would like to thank those residents who continue to inform the police with information regarding this and other criminal offences. As a police service, we would like to encourage those to report any such suspicions via calling 101 or it can also be done anonymously via Crimestoppers 0800 555 111."
